Pros
I have worked for Lookers for some time now. It was once an OK place to work. It was never great but it was ok but not any more. Nice head office.
Cons
Lookers made some of the IT department redundant earlier this year and managed it very badly. The result was a lot of negativity about Lookers IT on this and other forums. See reviews on here from around end of May. Lookers IT reputation have taken a big hit in the IT industry. Because of this the workforce in IT have been generally unsettled and unhappy since then despite some lame efforts by SM to rally the troops. Also there is no clear direction on where Lookers are going with IT and leadership is virtually non existent. Looker directors openly admit that they are "just a simple car dealership group and don't need fancy IT systems". For anyone working in IT this is worrying and unsettling.
