Pros
Lucidworks was a wonderful place to work for a number of years, and I always felt supported when I had issues to raise. I was lucky enough to be part of various stages of the company's growth, and I had the opportunity to work on a few different teams within the company. I found that the best thing about Lucidworks was that, if you did your job well and kept communication open with management, you would receive the help you needed. The company culture was open, casual and friendly, without too much in the way of political infighting. There were a number of company sponsored events for employees to unwind, and the teams I worked on always made a point to host dinners or other post work activities in order to foster inclusion and camaraderie. The new office downtown is absolutely marvelous, and the executive team members, in particular the COO, CPO and CEO, were always available to chat and all were receptive to requests for guidance, clarity and assistance. The level of capability that the executive team exhibited was confidence inspiring, and the trajectory and growth of the company was, to me at least, never in doubt. The recent acquisition of Cirrus10 lends credence to this assertion, as the expansion of focus to include e-commerce demonstrates the company's commitments to progress and strengthening of their capabilities. All in all, my time there provided me with a number of opportunities for growth, both professionally and personally, and I am grateful to the company for everything they did to make my time memorable and enjoyable.
Cons
Some of the Sales team management need to understand that, in 2020, a different working style is necessary for success. The reliance on a few specific individuals who are toxic and who foment frustration at every turn, and who disregard anyone's needs but their own serves only to hinder the company, and does not lead to satisfaction within the team, nor does it lead to satisfaction from other teams forced to consistently deal with such poor behavior.
