We’re sorry to hear about this perspective. Lumana is a fast-growing, global company and we recognize that pace and priorities can sometimes feel demanding as we move quickly to innovate. That said, we’re intentional about maintaining realistic expectations, competitive pay, and a culture of collaboration and care. While we don’t comment on individual circumstances, we continuously review internal feedback, employee engagement data, and exit interviews to ensure our teams feel supported and set up for success. We appreciate the feedback and wish the reviewer well in their future endeavors.

Pros

Lumana has a very strong team culture and a high level of talent across the company. One of the things that stood out to me early on was how thoughtful the team is about building both the product and the company itself. There are a lot of smart people here who genuinely care about what they are building and it shows in the pace of innovation. Coming from elsewhere in the physical security industry, it is clear that Lumana is trying to build something meaningfully different rather than just another version of an existing VMS platform. The product vision is truly compelling and the leadership team is transparent about where the company is headed and why. Another big positive is ownership. People are trusted to take initiative and drive outcomes rather than getting stuck in layers of approval. If you thrive in environments where you can build something, own something, and truly make a difference, the opportunities at Lumana are significant.

Cons

This environment will reward self starters who are comfortable operating with ownership and autonomy. People who need constant direction or highly structured environments may find the pace and expectations challenging. As the company grows, additional operational structure will naturally continue to develop.
