Good Short-Term Opportunity; Not Long-Term - Summer Intern Lumentum Operations Employee Review

There is a HUGE disconnect between the upper management that administers and oversees the intern program. The management team didn’t really want to interact with us. Another example of the disconnect is that there were times when “new college grads” would join us at intern events but the majority of them were PhD students who are in senior positions. In addition, the company is not transparent on their performance review and deciding who to hire. The company only hires interns into direct engineering positions.
