Pros
A lot of coworkers will be similar and like-minded, having been sold a false bill of goods as well, so immediate colleagues tend to become friends.
Cons
NO training, NO attempt to develop employees, and promotions ALWAYS given to outside candidates. Yearly salary increases DO NOT even keep up with inflation, while bonuses and raises DON'T exist The C Suite POORLY manages finances, allocating all time and resources to one specific segment of business, forcing them to withhold company information and necessitate LAYOFFS (Luminate branded napkins, signage, pens, JBL speakers, clothing, and even card and Ice Cubes! (to give an idea where the company's finances go) Management is vocal about being empathetic and maintaining trust with employees, but of course they are no more altruistic than a can of tuna. Be prepared to receive positive feedback in unorganized formats, just to have management cite those nonexistent reviews for poor performance and put you out on the streets. Managers for several departments are NOT even located in the same state as their direct reports, so the team is left in the dark while managers make decisions remotely, and the process of this back and forth and losing details in translation is both INEFFECTIVE and FRUSTRATING. Despite what you might be told be HR or managers, they are NOT welcoming of someone voicing concerns about the efficacy of their remote management and will readily gaslight their employees.
