Pros

Intelligent coworkers, good exposure to variety of aspects of the work.

Cons

Work life balance is a big issue lately. Lundbeck is Danish which means decision making by consensus. Extremely process oriented and process heavy. Lots of discussions, countless meetings, including people who don't really benefit from participating or have the expertise to contribute. You can spend the whole day in discussions, with little time to get work done. Since this is such a prevailing issue, a lot of the actual project work is done in a hurry, with little thinking behind it, or by outside consultants who my or may not do a good job. If you like to discuss and present information, this is the ideal place. If you prefer to do things well and in depth, this is not a good company for you. Also, new alliances make things twice as difficult, with lots of meetings and TCs and alignment discussions, sometimes fruitful, often burdensome.

Pros

LundBeck always puts patients first. The culture is one that truly honors each employee for their contributions. I have been with LundBeck for 11 years and have always had opportunity for growth and promotion. It’s a great place to work and everyday I feel proud to represent a product that is changing patients lives for the better.

Cons

The industry has changed a great deal in psychiatry and we’ve seen many providers move to virtual or working from home. This has made the access in psychiatry difficult. This however is not a con for working at LundBeck.
