Good social culture, but career growth can be challenging - Designer M. Moser Associates Limited Employee Review

Pros

Flexible working. Nice office in a good location. Good social events and opportunities to connect with colleagues.

Cons

Career progression can feel difficult if you don’t play the internal politics game. It often seems that who you are connected with matters more than the quality of your work. There are also instances of inappropriate or abusive behaviour that appear to go unaddressed, creating the impression that some people are held to different standards than others. At times, it can feel as though employees who are not part of the right social circles are overlooked when it comes to opportunities, recognition and career development.

Pros

I love the culture and people there. Everyone is easygoing and helpful. The communications with team members, vendors and clients are all good.

Cons

Not so much opportunities to do the design since I was the intern but overall learnt a lot.

Pros

The office location is good, near World Trade Center, you really are in FiDi. Some people are nice, some bubbly and they try so hard to become your “friend.” Good health insurance. Hybrid 3x a week and flex times which is both a pro and a con.

Cons

The workload and project management structure made work-life balance extremely difficult. Employees are often assigned to 3–4 projects at once, with schedules divided hour by hour across different tasks. Constantly switching between projects increases stress and creates more opportunities for mistakes, yet errors are met with criticism rather than meaningful support. The hours can be very demanding, and despite being a hybrid environment, there is an unspoken expectation to remain available well beyond standard working hours. While management may encourage employees not to overwork, deadlines and workloads often make that unrealistic. Over time, it becomes difficult to maintain personal time, attend events, network, or simply relax on weekends because work frequently spills into personal hours Whenever you raise concerns with management, they dismiss your perspective and make you question your own judgment instead of addressing the issue directly.
