As a canvasser your income potential is unlimited in a way. Like some people earn 2000 bucks in two weeks if they do a good job. It depends on how well you can pitch and convert potential donors into donating for the cause.

It involves hell lot of walking. You have to walk continuously for almost 5 hours door to door, 3.30 pm to 8.30 pm, in order to get good amount of donation. Plus, if you don't meet your quota in any week then your pay decreases to the minimum wage.
