Pros

MDG has a very collaborative and creative culture. The digital marketing revolution offers ongoing opportunities to learn while solving the client's business challenges with new innovative and strategic solutions. The company is right sized; small enough to establish friendships amongst colleagues but not so large as to get lost in the bureaucracy.

Cons

Agency workload has an ebb and flow where there can be some demanding periods when project deliverable dates collide due to client business initiatives.

Pros

I enjoyed working at MDG for over 6 years. It’s an entrepreneurial environment, which I know isn’t for everyone, but I thrive in that type of workplace. The team is smart, friendly, and great to be around. I enjoyed the clients and working in the healthcare field which felt rewarding at the end of the day. As a growing team, they are starting to implement processes and documentation to help streamline things like onboarding, strategy, and reporting. I look forward to seeing their continued growth.

Cons

There weren’t that many cons, hence why I stayed so long. But would have loved to see a more flexible return to work for new mothers. Compensation is average but as other agencies increase their ranges they need to reevaluate to allow for more competitive offerings for new employees and retention for existing employees.

Pros

The people are experts in their field and willing to help their colleagues and team members who may not be as knowledgeable learn and grow. Everyone wants to see their colleagues succeed, and operates at a level to set them up for success. There's no "stay in your lane" here. When they say a "culture of collaboration," they mean it--and it shows in how the teams enjoy working with each other and respect one another, not to mention the lasting friendships that have developed both at work and outside the (virtual) office walls.

Cons

Advertising as an industry is high intensity and can be stressful. But that's what you get when you choose this field. At MDG, when you're among a group you genuinely respect and WANT to see everyday, that challenge of the industry is so much more manageable and navigable.
