Pros
I worked at MDP for two years. I started my career here and learned many valuable skills in accounting. The managers and partners are very approachable and willing to help you learn and grow. -I believe that partners & management are very fair to staff and will work with staff to accommodate them. -For me specifically, I know there was a time when I wanted to be switched from one department to another and the partners and management acknowledged this request and allowed me to. -While I was there we had half day Fridays between June 15 - Labour day. I have learned that it is now full day Fridays off throughout the summer - which is obviously fantastic. I have also learned that the office is closed between Christmas and New Years. You do work a lot in busy season (as does every public accounting firm) - but this additional time off definitely makes up for it. -I have worked at 3 public accounting firms and the hours at this firm were by far the best. Overall the people that you will work with are very kind and compassionate people. I always felt respected and heard.
Cons
-The office is old, however, I have heard that they are moving to a nice brand new office in December 2018. - While at MDP the 3rd party tech support was not the greatest. There were too many issues with computers.
