Cons
I have consistently received shift offers through the app since working a festival in September 2025. However, despite this volume of notifications, I have only secured work on one occasion.
In most cases, I apply well in advance and receive no confirmation, often waiting weeks without any update. The absence of timely communication effectively forces workers to assume rejection without being formally informed.
The situation today was particularly concerning. After waiting over three weeks for a decision on a shift I had already applied for, I received a notification instructing me to reapply. This indicates either a serious breakdown in internal systems or a disregard for previous applications and the time invested by workers.
Additionally, it is common to see shifts circulated with extremely short notice, sometimes as little as an hour before the scheduled start time. This pattern suggests a lack of planning and places an unreasonable expectation on workers to remain constantly available without any guarantee of work.
Taken together, these issues demonstrate a lack of respect for workers’ time and a failure to provide a reliable or transparent scheduling process. As a result, I have decided to cease all work with MINT.
