Corporate narcissism. There is a palpable preoccupation with self-identifying, re-branding, re-orging, synergizing, silo-smashing ...and other trite management-consultant-inspired hyphenates.
More disturbing is the rampant cliques that have become the sole avenue for access to good project opportunities, and the primary basis for promotions. There are some very deep pockets of misogyny and nepotism that have stalled careers, and inspired once dedicated and motivated employees to go elsewhere.
