Pros

MKS2 effectively matched me with an excellent government IT contract. The placement process was straightforward, and they accurately represented to me the requirements of the role. The recruiters were professional, friendly and communicated clearly throughout the hiring process, and matched me with a client where I could immediately add value through network administration, hardware lifecycle management, and user training. Highly recommend them to other technical professionals seeking government contract work.

Cons

Not an in person interview

Pros

MKS2, LLC provides an excellent environment for experienced professionals who value flexibility and autonomy. Working remotely for a decade allowed me to maintain a strong work–life balance while supporting meaningful federal and defense-related initiatives. The company demonstrates trust in its contractors, giving them the independence to manage workloads and deliver results without excessive micromanagement. Leadership has consistently shown professionalism, and the company culture supports long-term engagements and stability, which is not always common in contract-based work.

Cons

As with many contract-focused organizations, career progression and role expansion can sometimes feel limited without clearly defined growth paths or transitions into full-time employment. Communication around long-term strategic planning, especially during contract changes or renewals, could be more transparent. Additionally, professional development opportunities such as formal training, certifications, or mentorship programs could be more structured and consistently offered.
