MPC has an amazing mission that everyone in the company takes pride in and is proud to be a part of. There is a strong team environment where people are willing to jump in and help you whenever needed. The pay is very competitive for the industry.

I can't think of any

We're doing things to help our environment at MPC that we'll be able to tell our grandkids about, and that's important to me. The work is intellectually challenging, and our engineers are constantly solving puzzles that add up to huge dollar and greenhouse gas savings for our clients. The fact that my team is building software to help them do it faster has me excited to come to work every day. The company has been around a long time, but the vision and culture are all brand new even since I first started with MPC in 2011.

Lots of travel for the engineering teams, and sometimes you have really smart engineers butting heads over the right way to solve some puzzle or another; but the senior leadership is adopting some new ways of working through disagreements that I think will help. Some of the engineering team members are a little old-school and struggle to get on board with the new culture; but they have been around a long time and have a ton of knowledge to share.
