Pros

Opportunity to develop resilience in a challenging environment Unique experience in creative idea appropriation by management Excellent training in adaptability and coping with last-minute changes Chance to hone skills in navigating unclear expectations and protocols Memorable experience in being let go despite hard work and dedication

Cons

My experience at MTM was disappointing and demotivating. After merging with A2C, the company showed little appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the transitioning team. We put in extra effort to train call takers and supervisors, only to see half of our team laid off shortly after. It was disheartening to see our ideas and contributions taken without recognition or credit. One particular example of management's poor behavior was our manager, Marisela. She would rarely communicate with the A2C team unless she needed something from us. When she did engage, she'd take our ideas and present them as her own, without any acknowledgement or credit. Meetings with her were often unproductive, as she'd hijack the conversation to discuss unrelated topics or give lengthy lectures, straying far from the intended agenda. Unfortunately, M’s behavior was reflective of the broader management culture at MTM. The work environment was toxic, with favoritism and intimidation tactics used to control employees. Those who didn't curry favor with management were often let go. The lack of organization and adherence to protocols resulted in chaos, and new hires were left without proper training or support. My own layoff felt unjust, especially given the circumstances. The company's claim of budget cuts seemed like a convenient excuse. Overall, I would caution potential employees about the poor management and toxic work environment at MTM. If you're considering working here, be prepared for a challenging and unrewarding experience.

Pros

pay is decent, meeting the people you take to appointments, being independent

Cons

There is no help. You do have a driver support to call for rides and they have been the most helpful. The team manager over you that is supposed to assist you with problems you only have a text number. When I have tried to contact to ask questions I get no response. When you email MTM about questions they are rude and don't actually read the emails you send and direct you back to your lead who doesn't respond to any messages. They do not give you access to marketplace to choose your trips and instead they throw all rides not in order but all over the place. Having to spend hours rearranging and turning back rides because it conflicts with other rides. They don't even look at distance or time. Sometimes it will say to pick someone up and take them to an appt an hour away and then they want you to drive back an hour and do trips for $10 and then drive back to get the other person. People who have worked there a year should be allowed access to marketplace we know our town. It would be easier to be able to select the trips and route. Gas is too high to make unnecessary extra trips.
