Pros
The pay and benefits are competitive.
Cons
The worst part about the bank is that there is no strong culture, and management is not transparent. People constantly believe their jobs are on the line, since they know the bank is always looking to cut people and costs. Everyone acts selfishly and for their own benefit, and managers will throw you under the bus. Not all of the people I worked for were terrible, but the worst director I have ever worked for was at MUFG. She was always stressed, would take her anger out on all the analysts who worked for her, and she clearly did not care about developing anyone. People are always looking to save their own skin. As a minor point, the bank is focused on minimizing all costs and is stingy. My team never went out for team lunches or dinners on the firm, even after working long hours. My previous companies were never like this.
