Good compensation. Faculty excellent. Staff members supportive.
Cons
No actual union support. Lots of words, no actions. Would rather side with abuses than support the worker. Believe that the administrators run the institution as they wish even when blatant workplace is exhibited. Human Resources only supports administration and sides with abusive behaviour if senior staff are involved. Restrictive environment for professional growth. Environment is heavy with nepotism and favoritism if you tow the line. No accountability for administrative position hiring--often nepotism. No response to workplace harassment and bullying. Policies are following in word only. Lack of professionalism. Ingrained culture of KYA. Culture of fear because of reprisal. Use of taxpayer money to fund secret projects without accountability. Few quality leaders stay for long--president gone, senior administration leave.
