Pros

There aren't going to be many pros unless you are very studious and are able to commit a huge portion of your life to the job. With a solely performance based wage, if you put in the huge amount of effort needed you could potentially see yourself earning a good enough amount of money and see yourself move up in the ranks quickly.

Cons

From the very onset you will be lied to and be fed a repetitive mantra used to manipulate you into thinking this job is something that it absolutely is not. This is a door to door sales job. No matter what level in the company you're at, you will be going door to door trying to get people to donate money to a charity etc. During the interview I wasn't told an awful lot about pay however what I was told was that pay would be discussed with me at a greater length after the interview, and also part of my interview was to complete a test to do with the company and one of the questions asks you about the 3 different types of pay (them being hourly, salary and performance). This lead me to believe that was relevant and that we would be paid an hourly rate and earn commission via performance but that was not the case at all. They are Intentionally misleading you, you will only be paid based on performance. This means that until you get a sale you are working for free. And you won't be expected to get any sales well into your first week. The interview process was extremely lengthy and incredibly unnecessary. You are essentially going to be working around 12 hours for free. That is it. The working environment makes me feel like they watched Wolf Of Wall Street and took it as a tutorial. Everything is incredibly cold and falsely preppy. I hesitate to use the phrase 'cult-like', however they want you to make the most sales possible and they know you are going to be walking around in the elements for 12 hours a day 5/6 days a week expecting to only have 1-3 people actually buy anything out of the 100+ houses you have to visit more than once a day, so they have to pep you up and constantly remind you of the money you Could be making; all very manipulative. The offices were empty and the website is pretty barren aside from buzzwords that barely describe what the company actually do, which is Door to Door Sales. When I expressed concern to my trainer about learning all of this on my first day she became quite hostile, condescending and tried to embarrass me into not leaving by accusing me of being a mummy's boy. The clients they claim to work with are kinda untrue as well as you will mostly be working with charities, they say because 'that's where the money is' but it's probably more because their actually just a door to door sales company with a bit of an inflated ego. It was no surprise to me that all the employees were young 20-23 year olds, mostly uni students, aka, easily manipulated youngsters looking to make money.

Pros

This is a job for those with no Family, Hobbies or Time to spend with loved ones or time to themselves. If you feel like you need to progress in certain aspects of things, such as your flaws in life, then this is a great job to progress. I learnt a lot of things such as, People Skills, Conversational Skills. You are taught to be Self Employed and to make a living for yourself and yourself only. At the end of the day you have no life as you are constantly working even on weekends. you never get time for yourself.

Cons

This is a position of being a part of a Pyramid Scheme. You are told that you are going to make £1000 per week. Its a scam the amount of people leaving within a week of starting is hilarious, you are gong to be pushed aside and left on your own devices You are going to be working 70+ hours a week, And told NO at nearly every door you go to. You are a self employed Door to Door Salesman, getting disadvantaged members of the public to give you there Bank Details to you to sign up to a £10 Direct Debit to a Charity, Make sure you have plenty of money to start this job because I have spent more money on travel and food in this post than I have earned in 4 months of employment.
