Pros

- Flexible work schedule with accommodations to work remote if requested. - Depending on your role, work/life balance is good. Being in a client-facing position, I often felt as though I couldn't take advantage of the unlimited PTO due to upcoming project milestones, customer requests, and lack of team coverage. More support appears to be given to those with children compared to those without. - Assuming Maestro's high turnover doesn't persist, the people you will work with are incredibly smart, talented, and all-around great. These people will be the reason you'll want to stay with the company once you're hired.

Cons

- Under qualified and unorganized upper management. Frequent and hasty decisions impacting entry-level and mid-level positions are made without clear and consistent communication or training; leaving the workforce feeling uncertain about the future of their role and the longevity of the company. - High turnover. Within the past year, Maestro has lost over 20% of their workforce. Some of which left voluntarily due to reasons alluded here and in other recent reviews while others were let go with no justification or warning. - Organizational values are often weaponized and used as manipulation tactics. - Despite being a company that specializes in creating training for other organizations, there are no formal or informal training opportunities provided to their own employees. Additionally, there are no formal/informal performance reviews, role-specific goals, or defined career paths. Performance-based raises and cost of living raises aren't guaranteed and oftentimes not granted YOY. This lack of clarity results in the perception that promotions, demotions, and terminations are based on one's personal relationship to the CEO as opposed to actual job performance.
