Pros

Very convenient environment and accommodating. They value you not just an employee but part of their family. It gives importance to their employee when it comes to family matters. The President of the company is down to earth person and very approachable. website: http://www.magma.com

Cons

Managment don't seem to have the understanding how to position the company in terms of earning more revenue and how to come up with a top notched products. They don't seem to listen well with their customers suggestions and feedback when it comes to product improvements and product development. Don't know how to market their products well, and that's where it struggles the most. Also, Sales Team seems to be lacking of " how-to" technology works. They are clueless as what to do when it comes selling good commodities. Very poor Sales Team structure. They dont compensate their employee very well inspite of the quality work, effort and dedication they put in. Rather they reward them with more duties, tasks and responsibilities. The company and its product have the potentional to grow but they seem to have the wrong " managment team" to take the company to next level.

Pros

Small dynamic privately held company {25 - 30 employees}. Family like, casual work environment. Opportunities to "wear many hats" and learn new things. Excellent employee retention with most employees having over 10 years of service Small company that acts and has a reputation in the business sector of being much larger than it is. Mature processes and procedures that work well.

Cons

Privately help company does have not much liquidity, makes it difficult to weather downturns in the economy. Pay decreases {every other Friday off unpaid} and reductions in force {lay offs} to lower payroll costs not uncommon. Sometimes have more work assigned than there is time to do it; requires good prioritization skills.

Pros

A lot of opportunities to learn and experience about cutting edge technologies and collaborate with all the departments. Have a very friendly management team. They have a nice and relaxed working environment. Salary is somehow ok.

Cons

Need more manpower. All departments are understaff. No Human Resources Department. No career growth path. No cross departamental communication.
