Pros
-Great if you’re a student and want a job to help pay for school and life expenses. Job isn’t difficult, and the hours are flexible for retail. -PTO and health benefits for full-time employees. -Company regularly shows its appreciation for employees. -Dedicated customer base, so you’ll get to know the regulars, who tend to be nice. -DM is very receptive to feedback and listens to employees’ concerns. -I can only speak for my location, but great co-workers who showed up for shifts and were able to fill in, when needed. -Pay is about average with what you’d find elsewhere in the alcohol/retail industry.
Cons
-Can be a bit slow, especially on Sundays. -Family-run, and got the sense there isn’t much upward movement for those who aren’t relatives or close to the family. -Lots of heavy lifting, so if you don’t have much upper body strength, this is likely not the job for you. -HR was incredibly demeaning and rude. Any interaction made me feel like I didn’t know anything and was stupid, despite having years of experience with the company. Have heard similar complaints from other former and current employees.
