Pros

- Hybrid 2 days a week remote - Paid lunches on Tuesdays - Co-workers by far the best (because suffering truly breeds solidarity and closeness)

Cons

Is sales hard? Yes. So should your company make a strong effort to properly train all its staff, value their employees, and not rely on a revolving door hiring model? Also yes. Unfortunately, this is not the case at this company. Favoritism - It is rampant and prevalent everywhere. Everything is about kissing up to management and playing into the company's ridiculous metrics. That is of course unless you’re one of their favorites or in management yourself, then you can get away with not having to hit the required call counts, the daily/weekly submission requirements, or achieving the client meetings and signed agreement quota…none of this will apply to you, but best believe you will be asked about it every single morning in your daily mandatory meetings starting at 8/8:30am.

Toxic Environment - Literally too many daily instances to list. Management frequently makes staff feel disrespected and mistreated for the simplest of things. They are not above name calling, table slamming, finger snapping, egregious sighing, asking inappropriate personal questions, or making public displays of rude behavior. More than once people were brought to the verge of tears from being yelled at by management for no reason at all. To make things worse upper management does nothing but make the problem larger with non-stop micromanaging, because let's face it, they work fully remote and have no idea what is really going on within their team. When the issue of a “toxic work environment” was brought up by two employees, which later led to a mandatory team meeting to “safely discuss the issue at hand”, the next week both employees were fired. One of whom was a top billing recruiter and the other had just placed a candidate and consistently submitted resumes within 24 hours. Everything at this company is a popularity contest. Benefits - Here’s a fun one…PTO and sick leave are a shared bank! That means if you’re feeling under the weather and you want to take a sick day then GUESS WHAT?! You just burned one of your minimally accrued PTO days. But wait! What if you feel well enough to work remotely from home and you just don’t want to get your coworkers sick? TOUGH! You’ll be given the guilt trip of a lifetime by management who works fully remote. They will literally look you in the face (via teleconference that is) and tell you that you have to come into work unless you're willing to burn your PTO. The hypocrisy is baffling. Even if it means potentially getting other coworkers sick…which ended up happening! The cherry on the top of all of this was the fact that the CEO coincidentally chose to work from home that week. Unethical - The company is unethical in a lot of its practices. They love scheduling "Brown Bag Lunch" trainings during legally mandated lunch breaks. Once the training is done, the unspoken expectation is to get back to work. This free lunch is used as an incentive to take an even shorter lunch, or to better yet eat at your desk and to keep working. This is the only reason lunch is provided on Tuesdays, as a way to incentive employees to work longer so they can hit their required 100 call minimum. Without saying too much, they also preach sales tactics that prioritize profit over the client and the individuals being hired by all means necessary. They also ironically loose their minds if employees privately discuss their salaries (which is in their protected California legal labor rights), but that’s a whole other story. The hypocrisy of this all is that management openly discusses top earners' commissions, guesses at other branches' top sales reps' salaries, and publicly asks junior sales reps what salaries they'd like to make as a "goal exercise". Needless to say they could brush up on labor laws and sales ethics.
