Pros

- Handful of great teammates that were supportive on the job

Cons

- Leadership was poor and disagreements among the leaders became evident to the rest of the team as a lack of direction for the company - Management was 'reactive' rather than 'proactive'. They very often waited until something happened (employees quitting, poor performances, disgruntled employees, etc.) before attempting to make changes or addressing concerns - There was a promise of career growth to employees but without follow through - Favoritism among some of the managers was very evident - Certain managers did not respect work life balance (ex. emailing/slacking/texting when employees were on PTO with expectation of a swift response, emailing/slacking ate very late hours of the night/early in the morning regarding NON-urgent matters - Very limited recognition of employee accomplishments (ex. praise only came in the form of a "kudo" vida slack.) - Promise of "unlimited PTO" during the interview, only to find out there was a 12 day PTO policy in place that was NEVER communicated to the employees until they got close to their 12 day limit.

Pros

I worked at Mango for a few years. They're a small team working to fight a big challenge. Everyone is smart, capable, and pulls their weight. You can always raise your hand and get involved in any area of the business that is of interest. There's not a ton of oversight and they trust their employees, so if you have an idea, you are encouraged to run with it. They had an awesome new CEO step in recently. He's given the team clear goals to work towards and has helped reshape how the leadership team executes. The flexibility and work/life balance can't be beaten. Most of the management have kids, so they openly put their drop off/pick up times in their calendars. It's never a problem if you need to work from home due to an errand or appointment. They've hired some great managers over the last 2 years who really care about their people and team.

Cons

It's a startup, so there's a lot of work to be done, but if you take the initiative, there's a clear path towards growth for you.
