Pros

You mainly work from home. Collective of good people.

Cons

A company that promises something and ultimately delivers absolutely nothing. I joined this company with a pre-agreed salary in mind, but when it came time to finalize the deal, the Czech Republic director came up with a completely different offer—one that was a third less than what had been agreed upon. Even then, I should have been cautious about what kind of company I was stepping into. However, I was told that after the probation period, I could easily triple my salary through sales commissions. I was responsible for handling multinational corporations where the process of selecting an efficient supplier takes months. No one provided me with any contacts or support; I was expected to manage everything on my own. Ideally, I was supposed to visit company receptions, ingratiate myself, and beg for contacts. This was apparently how one should operate in a "company with a long-standing tradition." From colleagues, I heard that some were even expected to visit up to 10 companies by car daily. When I suggested subscribing to platforms for acquiring contacts, I was completely ignored. The company doesn’t even have a proper website that could automatically attract new customers. Again, no interest in making any improvements, as it seemed easier to just drive around, sweet-talk receptionists, and try to collect contacts. Once I somewhat adjusted, acquired the necessary contacts, started arranging meetings, advanced negotiations, and organized material tests—crucial for the company’s operations and closing contracts—I was dismissed right before the end of the probation period. The justification? I hadn’t made any sales, despite having several large multinational corporations in the pipeline ready to engage. It’s evident that the company sees international business professionals with experience and expectations as nothing more than street vendors selling fruits and vegetables at a local market. The level of unprofessionalism, incoherence, and disconnect between defined roles and reality is astounding. The approach was methodically flawed from the very beginning. The attitude toward employees was like that in a fast-food chain: two days of rushed training in a style where, if you asked a question, the response was always, “We already told you that,” as if the goal was to make you feel incompetent. There was an overwhelming impatience from management and zero support. It was a lax approach, but if a newcomer dared to make a minor mistake, they’d be eaten alive. It seems the company’s strategy for business development is, unfortunately, highly inconsistent, subjective, and unsystematic. Big names of large corporations are pulled out of a hat like rabbits and then passed around between colleagues like hot potatoes. The company director only listens to what they want to hear and ignores suggestions that could actually move the company forward. This company is, unfortunately, a complete waste of time. If you don’t want to be treated like a street vendor, avoid it at all costs. Dishonesty and insincerity thrive here spectacularly!
