Pros
- Excellent co-workers at the technician level with great experience and knowledge - ESOP distributions - Great holiday bonuses - Excellent networking opportunities - You get to be involved in some really cool shows
Cons
- Hourly rates for technicians is ridiculously low compared to the profit margin (what the client is charged for your time). They will pay you $20-$28 an hour for grueling physical labor and charge the client $170-$250 an hour for you. - The company champions the ESOP mentality, but technicians have no voice in workplace conditions or pay negotiations. - Nothing is confidential. The open door policy is bogus. Managment can and absolutley will use what you say in confidence against you. - Advancement is too slow or nonexistent at the technician level. - Women are constantly mistreated and paid less. It's a boy's club. - Hours are terrible. I was asked to work for 14 hours on a show and then dive a truck across the country the following day on 3 hours of sleep. Don't work here if you value work life balance and seeing your family and kids.
