Pros
The company as a whole is great. Leadership structure has changed throughout the years but you can tell that it's changed so that it can benefit ALL it's employees. This is a company that really trusts it's employees to work on all their tasks independently but also don't shy away from teaching opportunities. So no, micromanaging is not a thing here. The dev team, which I'm apart of, is also a solid team. Some legacy systems often become a bottleneck but management on the team is always seeking to bring in new technology into the playing field and encourage growth through such projects.
Cons
With being a small/medium sized company, in a niche market, growth seems really slow. Which has led to some very hard decisions with layoffs and has lowered morale a few pegs. Though this is a market trend issue so it's kind of hard to mark this as a con of the company. Being hyper focused on a niche market also sometimes feels like we're putting all eggs into one basket. Though becoming the best at what you specialize in isn't always a bad thing, it sometimes feel that way with the market we're in.
