Pros
Employee discount, great 401k match, decent PTO policy, dogs in the office, flexible hours (depending on the dept you’re in)
Cons
Poor middle managers - they are so concerned with doing their own jobs that they forget to look out for their team or provide them any direction. Two new managers have been hired from the outside in 2019 that are good....recognize that and train or replace the others. Key positions were moved to China or Newell corporate, causing countless headaches, hours of inefficiencies and thousands upon thousands of dollars lost. So many people have left in the past year, their knowledge walking right out with them. Of those, 7 positions were completely removed after the person quit (including very essential positions in IT, customer service and at the distribution centers) and the remaining employees were expected to pick up the slack...on top of an already over full plate. The systems and tools given to employees are archaic- there isn’t even a reporting tool, so simple reports take hours to build in excel piecing together information from multiple sources. Also, no company direction at all from the top, so each dept rows on their own, often rowing in opposite directions from each other. Zero communication in between separate teams and lots of animosity towards others.
