Pros
A handful of supportive colleagues, but that’s the only positive. Talent Acquisition does a great job of bringing in great people.
Cons
However, once you walk in the door, you’ll quickly see the culture is toxic. HR is completely ineffective, acting solely in the interests of leadership rather than employees. Raising concerns is pointless, as decisions are made behind closed doors with no transparency. Policies and processes are inconsistent and change at a moment’s notice, often without any communication. The company’s claims of valuing inclusion and employee wellbeing are nothing more than a box-ticking exercise. Genuine concerns are ignored, dismissed, or brushed aside. Salaries are well below industry standards, with no real progression or development opportunities. The work is uninspiring, with little strategic direction or investment in meaningful projects. Be warned: If you try to advocate for a better employee experience or push for real change, HR leadership will attempt to tarnish your reputation once you leave. They do not take kindly to true HR professionals who actually care about fairness and employee wellbeing. Think twice before joining the HR team under this current leadership. The culture is toxic, and anyone who challenges the status quo will find themselves isolated and undermined.
