Pros
Flexible schedule, You don't have to find your own clients, Clean linens and lotion provided, A lot opportunity for experience for new graduates similar to a "residency" of massage.
Cons
Over worked, front desk and management don't understand how hard performing massage is on your body and will over book you and take away breaks without asking. Policy of never giving 1 hour breaks even if you do 2 or 3 deep tissue massages in a row when 30 minute breaks often result in about 15 minutes of rest time. Very unorganized and under trained staff, there are problems daily with scheduling and clients being misinformed. Only pay $15 per massage and charge customers $59 which equals about %25 commission rate which is unheard of in this industry. Constant change in "bonus's" at the whim of management/owners which causes significant loss in pay that you count on for income. Therapists are treated as disposable and "spoiled" by management and front desk associates with no consideration of the fact that we went to school for this and have trained hard to be in this profession.
