We are disappointed to read the comments in the reviews and take on board the issues raised. The company always strives to provide new graduates with a good opportunity and feel that the training and experience they are exposed to, including a first-hand role with clients, provides invaluable industry exposure and learning opportunities which is a sound basis for further professional growth. We have always encouraged self-learning and development as a way of improving the knowledge base of our employees. However, we recognise the need to transition and recently the company has undergone some significant organisational changes which we believe addresses many of the concerns raised by previous staff as well as supporting our current employees to achieve their true potential. These changes have included the following:
• A move to a more consultative management approach to promote inclusivity and innovation
• Appointment of new members to the board to bring fresh ideas, improve business strategy, help shape new company vision and have direct responsibility for change management
• Implementation of a phased organisational restructure to deliver a more vertical hierarchy, providing employees with better progression opportunities, and key responsibilities so they can realise their contribution to the value chain
• Increased and dedicated budgets both for Research & Development to support technical innovation, and for L&D contract with an external training academy so that employees have the opportunity to engage in certified industry recognised qualifications
• Introduction of internal monthly work place coaching to support personal development planning and achievement of individual and team objectives
Next financial year Matrica will also be working towards the Investors in People and Best Companies accreditations in order to further reinforce our ongoing commitment to our employees.
