Pros

Good benefits, good outlet commissions, and the ability to negotiate your own closes and maximize commission. Very reputable well-known mattress options to sell. Paid volunteer hours provided by the company. Very good delivery outreach in most areas.

Cons

Pay and traffic has a lot to do with the market you are in. Glass ceilings on certain types of issues, such as small parcel deliveries and warranty. Not a lot of involvement in my market from upper level management. Anything that is free through the company, the sales person has to eat. Not much insight on how to move up the company other than through management.

Pros

Lots of autonomy in role, opportunities to bonus. Great discounts on sleep products and the sales teams are well compensated, as compared to competitors or similar industries.

Cons

Lack of clarity around goals and metrics, it is unclear what you need to do to "win" as performance reviews are based on 15+ KPIs and they are not aligned to what drives your bonus. As an external DM, there is a huge gap in onboarding and support from RVP and no real training. Although engagement and retention are important, the company has made very minimal changes to support work/life balance for the sales team who have limited flexibility around sales holidays and required hours. All responsibilities and corporate changes happening at the field level are left to the DM to implement with unclear or unreasonable expectations.
