Pros

Is a job and it barely pays the bills.

Cons

No support from upper management. People who travel are expected to front all expenses. That mean having to tie up their own money just so they can do their job. That money out of their pockets. Get an Oracle Certified DBA (yes they are pricey, but they will save you millions in the long run). The office is proof that they are only concerned about that next party and does seem to be looking any further than the next big party in the kitchen or pine car derby event. Get them to do their jobs and to identify how it effects people outside their own cubical. Get them all on board with going the extra mile (and stop waiting for others to go the extra mile to cover their own ass). Hire one or two Technical Writers do start a large but long over due project. Document every process and/or procedure in the company and put these procedures on Triton for everyone in the company to use. This will allow anyone to look up the instructions to place an order, receive a delivery, post books, complete and audit, update an item in the price book, or whatever may be needed. The easier it is for everyone to be cross trained, the more will people are willing to do it. This in itself will be a huge asset to Maverik. Stop trying to act like a garage operation. You are a big company and have huge potential. Don't ruin it before it can really take off. Help the people in the stores, the field, everywhere to be able to do their jobs more efficiently and with confidence.

Pros

Community and pay and knowing everyone and the feeling of being there for the community.

Cons

Constant changing of things that weren't broke, no backup by uppers, the stress of never having the hours needed to run the store so you have to work 16 hour days and get paid for a 40 hour work week and the insubordination
