Pros
Pay is avg for the industry
Cons
Area managers or RTM as they call themselves are pushed by their superiors to micromanage each store down to the last breath the employees take. An absurd amount of conference calls are made each week, Sometimes 6 in one day each up to an hour long(repeating the same sales tactics) without any follow up or results. The main question here is...who mans the store then? They push their sales agenda in each front counter personnel. Recommendation on components such as shocks or brakes are based on visual percentages instead of real measurements. Flushes are sold when in reality nothing is flushed out. Both the brake flush and power steering flush are simply reservoir drain and fills. 95% (since they like using percentages) of the fluid is still in the hydraulic systems! They sell power steering flushes on cars that dont even have hydraulic systems anymore (most new cars are electronic). Most Regional managers and store managers dont know a thing about the automotive industry. Over half of them cant even do a simple brake pad replacement. The incompetence level of the management is such that most customers leave in complete confusion and unfortunately fall victims to scams (unneeded repairs). Quotas are placed on different "units" such as shocks, brakes, tires, wipers, and their credit card. Most of these units are demanded by the company for their profits alone. The items are not needed most of the time and customers are simply misled. STORE MANAGER APPLICANTS BEWARE! Overtime from shop employees is taken directly out of your paycheck yet each store is understaffed at all times. Warranties are largely overlooked and employees are instructed to limit the amount of "warranty" , discount, or refunds given to customers. Local enforcement agency and BBB need to investigate the sales practices performed at these locations. A full audit is highly recommended. Ive never felt so wrong for over recommending products. Ive worked for other areas of the industry and never in my 25+ year career have i ever felt this much like a thief. I finally got away and haven't looked back.
