Pros

Commission for partners is 20% for origination and 40% for worked toward the base draw with distributions on additional collection paid monthly. Lots of work. Offices all over Texas. Young partners. Partners that actually work and try cases. Some very brilliant and talented trial lawyers. Rapid growth.

Cons

High billable requirements to make draw if you dont have origination. Associate compensation can rival or even exceed partner compensation. Not enough senior and mid-level associates. Lots of burnout and turnover. Local offices don't necessarily follow the Mayer way.

Pros

Good IT, snacks, nice offices

Cons

Felt like a bait and switch to me. I thought I was getting a good company culture with nice people and flexibility. However, I felt the rigid corporate policies were overbearing. and it seemed that some policies were there just to keep an extreme degree of control. I also had a manager who became more and more controlling and seemed to thrive on drama and gossip.
