Pros

You definitely will be employed if you decide to work here at McDonald's. It's a good place to start if you can't get in anywhere else. The job is simple, but really busy during rush hours.

Cons

The carelessness of hiring employees needs to tighten up. I literally was told, "Since you know someone here, you could probably score low on this quiz and still get hired." The pay is minimum wage unless you work weekends, you'd probably get a 10 cent raise. The workplace is usually messy and the McDonald's I was at didn't even have us use gloves while preparing foods. You can see managers popping a pickle or a chicken nugget during slow hours on occasion. They try to limit the number of workers as possible. There are usually 3 people including the manager working evenings when they can't handle it all by themselves. McDonald's is just another cheap and unprofessional place to work.

Pros

Good first job but don't stay for more than 2 years unless you get promoted to a manager.

Cons

Job has low pay. Won't give you raises unless they promote you, you are treated the same as a new hire even if you have 2 years of experience. Crew members have no say in anything, they claim when you become a crew trainer your opinion matters.
