Pros
If you are a trademen with a few years of service expirence you might like it, There is an average of 5 to 10 hrs over time each week, They can pay well do to the nature of their business, 401k matches well, Health insurance has become cheaper in some ways, work van provided , yearly voucher for safety boot program through Red Wing, phones are used for all paper work, Christmas bonus, accumulation of vacation time on a weekly basis. Fun to be able to be of service to clients, Field techs are great to work with for the most part. Only on call once a week unless youre a plumber which they are on weekly rotation. There is always work, It can be a good place to work, but there are important things that need to change to build morale and develop an excellent team,
Cons
Been through a a couple of GM's , all have had one thing in common and that is the unfortunate overwhelmimg behavior of narcissism, walking on egg shells king of enviroment, damn if you do and damn if you dont kind of enviroment, have a couple of staff members that should be Service Managers, but instead its more of a buddy system, No room for growth if you want to move higher, No official training for new comers on the companies software that is used in the field, turn over rate is high for hiring, Communication can be poor many of the times, Being On call can be frustrating, its a 24/7 company so youre expected to be able to adapt to change at all time (ive had to change my plans many times to give time to the company), a normal 10 hour shift can turn into a 12 to 15 hr shift real quick.
