Pros
- As an engineer, you get to see a lot of practical engineering applications and learn about various processes of steel plants. - The employees are highly cordial and you are surrounded by very sharp and skilled people. Most of the learning comes from the team members.
Cons
- Connections can lead to drastic effect on performance related bonus/promotions. As performance is not a key parameter, many employees slack off and engage in petty politics and try to play the system. - Chances of getting transferred to random remote places are there based on projects being carried out by the company. It could be a blessing in disguise if you are of adventurous type who likes to explore "Incredible India".
