- Too many inexperienced people have become people managers and it shows. My manager is really smart but fairly incompetent as a manager. Micro-manager, impulsive, self-promoting, no respect for others' time and the list goes on. Would not have been made a manager in any other company I've been at.
- Aim to fight mediocrity with creative buzzwords like "Growth Mindset" and "Bias for action" but these things are what make most of the work done mediocre because people just want to get things done without completely thinking it through.
- Almost no work-life balance. But that could just be my team since my manager doesn't think twice before asking for things to be done, post 7 PM.
