Pros

Most of the colleagues are willing to help at anytime if free. Prior to COVID there was a yearly charity and the company would have different events to raise money for that charity. Pay is good

Cons

If you are not buddy buddy with certain people your job will be in jeopardy the entire time. Work load will either be too much at one time or nothing at all. Department manger oversees 4 teams and does not know any SQL. Also the company is growing too fast. Onboarding is being tossed into the fire and learning by trial and error.

Pros

The company is 100% remote and offers a flexible work environment with core hours. The pay is good, particularly for a remote role.

Cons

The company suffers from a deeply ingrained culture of micromanagement and excessive process rigidity. Creativity and independent thinking are not just discouraged—they're actively penalized. Nearly all work is prescriptive, leaving no room for innovation or ownership. Decision-making is heavily centralized, with even minor choices often escalated to senior leadership. This constant bottleneck slows progress and reflects a lack of trust in team-level judgment. Meetings are excessive and unproductive. Time that could be spent executing or improving workflows is consumed by back-to-back discussions with little action or accountability. The leadership environment is highly political, where visibility and alignment with internal cliques are valued more than results. Constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement are rarely welcomed, and attempts to improve or streamline processes are typically met with resistance or reprimand. There is little to no support for career advancement or skill development. Opportunities to grow are scarce, and there is no meaningful investment in learning. Instead, you're expected to stay in your lane and follow the status quo. If you're looking for an environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, or personal development—this is not it.
