Pros

While working at Media Maison, I gained a lot of hands-on experience, especially in working directly with publications to earn placements for our clients. I was also able to sit in on meetings where I gained insight on the relationship between a public relations agency and their clients. Co-workers and the COO are very understanding and flexible, in terms of allowing interns to try their hand at various things.

Cons

Since the company is so small, work can be slow at times and I often found myself asking for work to do. I feel I would've learned even more if there were more structure to the internship program. -Internship was unpaid

Pros

Started as an AE and rose to a Senior after 1.5 years. Was able to have continuous growth both in title and in pay. Was able to figure out what I truly wanted as a Publicist and ultimately left on great terms with my entire team.

Cons

Smaller teams working on accounts than bigger firms.

Pros

It is a small or firm which is cute but that all go out the window when you smell the cigarette the CEO smokes throughout the area.

Cons

I would have to say there are more cons the pro. First, you are given a ton of work. Even as an intern you will be given tons of Jr account exec work. Second, you are devalued as a human being meaning if you make one tiny mistake, the CEO will basically let yell at you instead of speaking like a civil human being. Also, she will make it very clear to you (and the whole office because she doesn't know how to have a private conversation and close the door) that you messed up and your Worthless. Most of all things that is terrible about this company are the foul things the CEO says about the clients. For a PR firm really serious about keeping their clients, the amount of smack they say about the clients is straight up terrible. Clearly, all these point define that they only care about making money and not about the clients or their workers.
