Pros
Nice people, can be a fun environment depending on who you report to, and more important, which office location
Cons
Overbearing upper management, who are not necessarily expert level in their roles, particularly the "c suite". For anyone who has interacted with a real CEO/COO, the experience gaps will be glaring.
There are moments of generosity but mostly it's a battle to get the leaders to pry open the coffers and pay well, or follow through on promises. Apparently, any extra profit is conveniently "re-invested" back in the company, so don't hold your breath for a bonus, no matter how hard you work.
I have witnessed employees being treated poorly based on personal perceptions rather than professional competency. There are truly incompetent people who are untouchable, and there are truly hard workers who can't get traction. There is an overall lack of integrity in how employees are treated. I was lied to several times in the hiring process, all of which came to light after I accepted the position - it set the tone and it unfortunately didn't get better. For anyone considering joining... a small company with so much turnover is a red flag, so while there are good things here, proceed with caution and keep your eyes open.
