Pros

Work is mainly done remotely

Cons

- The leader of the engineering team is completely clueless - They are ignoring client's requests, the company's backlog is the messiest thing I have ever seen - They don't appreciate your work as an engineer at all, the leader is blaming you all the time

Pros

Medsender has genuinely been one of the best places I’ve worked. The biggest thing that stands out is the culture. Everyone here is smart, motivated, and bought into the mission. There’s a real feeling that we’re building something special and everyone has a chance to contribute. One of my favorite parts is how much ownership you’re given. If you see something that needs to be improved, you’re encouraged to go solve it. Ideas don’t get buried under layers of approval. Good ideas win, and people who step up are rewarded. The company is also on the cutting edge of where healthcare is going. It’s exciting to be part of a team actually using AI to fix real problems instead of just talking about it. Compensation is strong and structured in a way that rewards hard work and results. There’s also a ton of room for growth. As the company continues to scale, new opportunities are constantly opening up for people who want to take on more.

Cons

The flip side of moving fast is that it can definitely feel like a startup at times. Things change quickly, and you’ll probably wear more hats than what’s written in your job description. For me though, that’s also one of the best parts. You get exposure to areas you normally wouldn’t, you learn faster, and you have a chance to make a bigger impact. If you want a very defined role where every day looks the same, it might not be the right fit.

Pros

Genuinely collaborative team. People help each other out instead of “protecting their turf,” which makes a real difference day to day. The mission matters here (building tools that improve how healthcare practices operate), and you can feel that the company is in it for the impact not just chasing revenue. Very AI-forward. The team is open to trying new tools and figure out what actually helps without shoving it down your throat. Open to hiring new grads and giving them real responsibility. You don’t see that as much anymore, and several of them have moved up through the orgs. Work-life balance actually exists which is refreshing. Leadership actually listens; feedback gets heard and you can see it in how things evolve.

Cons

Small team, so there’s a lot of responsibility on each person. If you want a narrow, well-defined role, prob not the place for you. Some processes aren’t fully fleshed out which isn’t surprising at this stage but can be challenging.
