Pros
1 hour lunch, 15 minute breaks where usually it was timed in such a way that everyone was on time. You can shop during your shift, given you buy at another register. hot food discounts for lunch, if there's a manager on shift. Hope you like kpop, bc its the only thing playing. the customers were niceish. a variety of people from korean regulars, to people who've never been to an asian market before, to weebs. honors prior commitments you cant refund. $18 an hour with the usual benefits.
Cons
wasn't given a rulebook or guideline, other then the cashier code or whatever the other cashiers teach you. When its sale season, i got 1 day off, and if you break on the final day you get fired. Overtime expected whenever the boss needs it. If the customers see you break down, either mentally or verbally, fired. Was only spanish bilingual, so most conversations with fellow cashiers and coworkers were...difficult to do. tried to do a translated conversation with my boss to see if i can keep my job, made me leave anyways.
