Decent place to work, especially for a family man, but don't expect any great raises unless you really stand out. - Website Developer Melaleuca Employee Review

Pros

You get an $80 product check for any personal wellness products from Melaleuca. Company is probably more family oriented than most. Company has always had an increase in revenue since their opening in 1985. I really enjoy their products and am proud of what Melaleuca stands for. Management really wants everyone to get out of debt and stay there. The company itself is in no debt. Frank has promised over and over that he will lay nobody off which, even though it might happen anyway, at least he is promising. What other company is doing that? Frank has kept Melaleuca growing for over 20 years.

Cons

It is VERY difficult to get raises. In order to get a good raise you have to quite and work somewhere else, then come back. Management and marketing has made some shortsighted decisions which has cost the company a lot of money. There is not really good communication between supervisors and their subordinates. I have even seen Marketing supervisors not know what is going on when something was going to directly affect them. I found out before they did and they should have known at least at the same time. The raise thing is really serious. They seem to not really care and are stingy but when it comes to decorating they sure do well. I'm a little confused because they always talk about how much the employees mean to them but then they babysit us and treat us like babies.

Great to work for, the people are kind and willing to help you with any problem you run into.

Cons

They're stingy with promotions and probably won't utilize you to your fullest capacity

Pros

- side benefits are okay - it is a median sort of job - I personally have some freedom do to personal professional development on the clock when there is no immediate need for my work (happens very little) - People half listen once they know you have been at Melaleuca after about 5 years

Cons

- No management that knows what they are doing - Not very customer-focused - Don't seek to fulfill their strategic imperatives or strategies or mission - Very hard for people to listen to you because you're new - They don't have a lot of integrity - Very slow to solve problems - Don't worry about making improvements in processes or tools we use - Slow AI usage and no proficiency in AI usage, strategies or implementation - Managers micromanage because Melaleuca is "unique" - Most of the positive things they tout all the time serves only the company's image, not the employees - Don't worry about giving raises in a timely manner - Not goal-oriented employer And I could probably keep going, but will stop here.
