Pros
The pay is decent but you are highly overworked, the hours are really the only pro to this company.
Cons
I got hired into Melrose Pyrotechnics with the position of Marketing / Administrative Assistant. During the interview my lead role was supposed to be in marketing and social media, but once I got the job they had decided that they did not want to do social media. I was just an Administrative Assistant all of a sudden. The same exact thing happened with the previous girl, who I knew. She was also promised a dominant marketing role and that got taken away immediately as well for her.
Management made the environment hostile and extremely uncomfortable to work within. I was still in training of learning firework permits, which I had zero previous experience in and is a lengthy procedure to learn. I was not even fully trained before I was fired for no given reason and out of nowhere. No verbal warning and no proper termination procedure was followed what so ever, and again the same exact scenario happened with the previous Administrative Assistant.
I later found out that most people do not make it even 30 days in this position directly by one of the main Event Coordinators of this company. ( A very trustworthy source)
I truly have nothing good to say about this company and their morale.
