Pros

-Profit Sharing -Can be a part of a great team (depending on which store or location your in) -Flexible to a certain degree (less toward management) -Relocation for promotion

Cons

-Relocation for promotion -Low pay -Long hours -No 401k with Menard contribution (only what you put in) -Expensive health insurance -Strict policies and procedures set forth by the "GO" (General Office) -High turnover rates -Having to purchase own tools, garments, etc. -Not able to PRD (Payroll deduct) expenses without your badge, cannot use credit/debit cards and still receive 10% off

A few of the people are nice to work with.

Cons

A store manager who talks down to employees like they're children (and apparently gets promoted for it). A store manager who acts like employees are idiots for calling him to ask questions. Raises are pathetic. Understaffed because the store manager won't allow enough labor hours to do the job, particularly on Sundays when there's a lot of freight.
