Pros
Profit sharing at the end of the year. Start job above min wage Good people to work with. It's a job. Part time is easy with flexible hours. It's a good place to work for part time and going to school at the same time.
Cons
There is blatant favoritism from high up. If the Gms don't like you get ready for a hard time. They will nick pick everything until you've had enough and quit or find some tiny thing to fire you. Full time and up you are required to work min 40 hours a week. Asst. Dept managers and dept mangers work 50 plus hours. They will take your days off from at a moments notice. Doesn't matter if you have a doctor's appointment or a family emergency you are expected to work or you will be demoted or fired. There is no life outside of Menards when you for full time or a manager. Promotions are a joke the same with raises. You get a 10 cent raise every six months you work there and you have to take a competency test to get it. If you fail to have to wait another six months to take it over again. It doesn't matter if you are perfectly qualified for the position if there is a favorite up for the same position they will get it even if they are not qualified for the job. It obvious the low prices at Menards come from under paying their employees and treating them like crap.
