Pros
-Timely salaries -Good salaries -Fully remote -Can take salary as professional income and save a lot of tax -They don't give "you are family" crap. Mercans is pretty straightforward company. We pay you for work. We need work. Thats it.
Cons
As I mentioned company has a straightforward approach. They treat employees as service provider. If you aren't serving properly, there will be consequences. Thus employee policies exists only to support employer. I will give examples below- 1. You need to give 90 days notice period, company will give 30 days notice. During probation company can remove you without notice. 2. Probation is of 6 months which generally extends even further. 3. If you were hired for some customer, and customer backed off - you will be fired. If you aren't able to perform, you will be sacked without PIP. I know it's brutal but it's purely business. 4. Sandwich leave policy 5. Productivity tracker - any unproductive short time will have consequences in terms of salary deduction. Now this is not all bad. Deductions are genuine. But sometimes you might not have 8 hours productive work for the day. 6. Since approach is more of service provider - no perks, recognition, award ceremonies, insurances, etc.
