Pros

Company promotes different cultural activities to encourage interactivity Smaller sized firm which also means everyone knows each other (sort of)

Cons

Let's just say you better watch your back and make sure you do not fall prey into others who are just using you to lift themselves up and expects you to clear up the mess you were brought into. Company tries to share visions/directions but there's no clarity on how they plan to execute, anything that comes out is just lip service and will likely only be advantageous to some of the familiar folks within the management There's UNO hour that provides recognition to those who worked hard but that's pretty much about it, don't expect a promotion or pay adjustment to come right after.

Pros

Merkle goes through a thoughtful process to hire people. As a result, they have really smart people who know their stuff. If you are early career, it is a great place to learn. Also, because they have such big clients, you earn lots of "street cred" as you build your resume. When you start interviewing for your next role, you get to brag about working with some of the largest brands in the world.

Cons

The biggest con is that they are leaning on offshore talent a ton! When I left, they were starting to offshore so much that it was turning into a production heavy as opposed to strategy heavy agency. It is no longer the amazing company that David Williams, Craig Dempster and others had build.
