Diversity among people
Shared leadership

Employee recognition
Family-first mentality
Patient wellness focused
Cons
Pay isn't as much as other hospitals, but it's not bad
Most people who work here have a certain awesome vibe, but not everyone. The negative energy from those people can reflect poorly on an entire unit or team

We're proud to hear our culture felt professional, engaging, and family-oriented during your time with us. We also appreciate your feedback regarding compensation. We understand that pay is an important part of the employee experience, and we continually evaluate our compensation and benefits programs to remain competitive while supporting our team members. Thank you for sharing your perspective, and we wish you continued success in your nursing career. Thank you for being part of the Methodist family.
Coming from a smaller size hospital but big company like Methodist and known high paying hospital in DFW, I needed more shifts. Since MDMC is bigger than my other PRN, I have higher chance of getting shifts because there are more monitoring stations, more staff taking PTOs, higher chance of staff calling out sick and therefore opening the shift, etc.
Cons
More workload and higher census! Almost 50 patients on heart monitor per station.

We're glad to hear that the flexibility and availability of shifts have been a benefit for you. As one of the region's largest health systems, Methodist offers opportunities that can help PRN team members find the schedule that works best for them.
We also recognize that higher patient volumes and workload expectations can come with working in a busy, high-acuity environment. Supporting our team members remains a priority, and we continually evaluate our compensation programs and workplace resources to remain competitive and help our employees succeed.
Thank you for the important role you play in caring for our patients and for being a valued member of the Methodist family.
